Where's Waldo?!

Both kids were down for their naps... at least in their respective beds suppose to be sleeping. I took this opportunity to take a well needed shower. Sam's room is just above our master closet and part of our bathroom. While I was in the shower I heard a lot of banging above me, but was enjoying the hot water on my head too much to care (I knew who it was and that there was really nothing he could get hurt with) Eventually the noises stopped and life was calm yet again. Miss Molly's nap was over and usually she wakes Sam up or vice versa so I listen outside Sam's door to see if he was up yet. I didn't hear him chatting/whining/crying so I quietly opened the door to take a peek and this is what I saw. I immediately ran down stairs, grabbed the camera and snapped a couple of pics (of course it does wake him up)
He was a little dazed and confused at first, not sure if it was because he didn't wake up on his own, or if it was because he was trying to remember why there was a box on his head!
For some reason this pampers box made a great road for that blue truck and they were his favorite toys for several days.

the morning began....

We decided to make a quick day trip to OK to visit Kirk's grandmother and family on Monday since Kirk had the day off (they took away Christmas Eve as a holiday and gave him Presidents day instead~ makes sense huh?!) Anyway it was an early morning and we actually had to wake Sam up (which has not been the case for several weeks now as he has been an 'early riser' UGH!!!) first things first, a shower prior to departure. As he was in the shower he felt the need to "clean" the shower floor. He did a super job scrubbing and scrubbing, too bad he chose to utilize my loofah as a scrub brush
After getting all squeaky clean breakfast is a must. What better way to enjoy a granola bar than under the covers on mommy's side of the bed (apparently it is more fun to drop the crumbs there) He looks like he is snuggled in for the night doesn't it?

We arrived

We arrived in OK in one piece. Sam and Molly did pretty well on the drive. Molly started acting odd the night before. She actually FELL ASLEEP on Kirk's chest in the evening. We were wondering if she might be coming down with something.Once we were in OK she wanted nothing to do with ANYone or ANYthing BUT me. She would cling onto me any which way she could and twist her little fingers all around my shirt. If I could get her little fingers loose she would scream within 2 seconds. I was finally able to get her to see her Nonna by wrapping her tight and having her bottle. She still wanted to make sure I was in her sights though... check out those eyes!! Thankfully she took a little catnap on Nonna so that they could have a little time together.
Sam had a good time hanging out with his 2nd cousin Ashton (turns out he is just as big a fan of batman as Sam!) He is 6 months older than Sam.Molly was finally able to meet Camdyn (who was born about 6 weeks after Molly) It took a lot to get her to be on the floor, let alone to pay any attention to Camdyn, so we had to snap those pictures fast! Here is the typical face whenever she was not clinging to me. I sure wish she could have been sweet to her great grandmother. Well, actually as soon as we arrived she allowed her to hold her for a minute, too bad the camera was in the car at that time.
unfortunately our "feeling" was right Molly just hasn't 'acted' her normal busy self (a tell tale sign for my highly active children) she has been pretty snotty today. Sam is sick today as well. He shows it in a different way, he has been runny a temp around 101-102 for 24 hours now. Poor kiddos are pretty miserable.

I go were

Sam has really been into pretend play lately. I absolutely LOVE to watch his mind work as he mimics daily rituals that we all do. For instance I have been able to eat all kinds of wonderfully prepared meals (all of which comes with a chicken gugget) The other day Sam found my old hat, one of his cell phones and his truck. He held quite the conversation on the phone as seen here:
after his conversation , before he hung up he told whoever was on the other end that he was going to were (work) like daddy. He then had to place his phone into his pocket (it was apparently pretty difficult to shove that thing in there, requiring him to get down on the floor)He then picked up his truck, his paper and said he was going. When I asked him about the items he had chosen he told me he had his truck like daddy drives. He did give a reason for the hat, but I didn't quite understand it. And the phone, well, doesn't everyone need a phone?

After my Wed morning Bible study (which is on Esther this semester and is really AWESOME!) s it has somehow started to become a tradition to swing by the McD's on the way home. Sam was quite messy with his cheee-erber and this is the sweet site I saw.

who do you look like?

It is really interesting the comments we get about who the kiddos look like. We hear how much Sam looks just like Kirk, then oh he is Kelly all over again. Initially Sam was 100% Kirk. He looked just like his daddy, grand pop and cousin (right down to the awful cowlick on the right side of his head) as he has grown, I do see more of my features in him, though his is still his daddy's side. Same comments for Molly, and then we hear how much Sam and Molly look alike (which I don't see AT all). We believe that Molly has more of my features. Sooo, I decided to go to the experts (well, the Look-alike Meter people that is) and here are the results:

I find it interesting that baby Sam is 11% more Kirk and baby Molly is 11% more me. I wonder if she will be an equal mix as well?!

When Kirk went upstairs to check on the kiddos before we went to bed last night, this is the sight he saw. Sam is completely sideways in his 'car' bed. I introduced a flat pillow a couple of months ago and he has yet to sleep on it, he is usually just below it or right beside it, but this takes the cake. He has 2 blankets (neither one on him) and all of his "friends" lining the bed (all except Tyrone that is, he is hugging him) from this angle I can not see taggie, though I am sure it is all snuggled up with him with his finger through the yellow tag loop (his favorite)

Here is Molly. She hadn't moved since I placed her there. Notice the pink pacifier in her mouth, as well as a 'spare' green pacifier close by (there is a 3rd somewhere in there too) can never have too many pacifiers (according to Molly) And yes, those of you observant enough to notice... she has FINALLY made it up to her very own room (though I am sure the spare bathroom was quite comfortable). We have all made the transition well. Kirk's fears have come true though, as they are able to wake each other up easier now. Molly has helped Mr. Sam rise and shine early every morning (yay...NOT) Night-Night all

What happens when your baby sister is sick and your mommy makes you stay in quarantine? Well, apparently you have to find your own form of entertainment. Oh, and what do your eyes spy? Could it be? How cool... a paper towel roll, those are so fun to "toot-toot" in and use as a telescope. Hmmm, there is only one problem though... there seems to be actual paper towels on it. What is one to do? Unroll them all in order to get to the prize:

Sam is hooked on 2 shows right now, "bear bear" (aka: prayer bear) and "hearse melmo" (aka: Elmo in the wild wild west) --he calls it horse elmo because elmo is on a horse. After having these shows on many, many, many times throughout the day (yes, I felt sorry for the boy, so he got to watch more tv than normal) I had finally had enough and said NO he could watch 'hearse melmo' later. I guess this was not a good enough answer, he decided to take things into his own hands. This is what Kirk found when he got home from work:
Yes, that is the DVD box sticking out of the VCR. ARGGGHHH. guess that is why he was quiet while I started on supper.
I am soooo happy to say, we are all healthy now and back out and about :)
